Food and Blood.

“Perhaps the secret to growing from our wounds is to live close to the earth to live with our hearts and minds and bellies in touch- both inside and out — with that which is larger than we are.’ Mark Nepo

My belly is full of gratitude right now. It has been satiated with love, gentleness, wisdom and kindness. Good food and laughter were also shared in healthy portions and washed down with a sugar cane juice mixed with ginger and lemon.

My heart is whole. I have been gifted with two rainbows during my morning walk twice this week. They made me amble into my moments and my day, with a confident gait. A prismed affirmation that I’m alright, always have been, and I should continue authoring my fullness.

I am learning that healing is not linear. That nature nurses and nourishes. Living my best life is healing. For some, pain can only be cured when we come to terms with ourselves. You can be our own medicine. Just look into the mirror and see your being, beauty, balm and most of all, your bounty.

My belly is full because it’s being fed more than food. And my heart is whole because it is pumped by more than blood.

My body is healing, and my person is free.
